Sanderling and Ghost Crab

There are some critters that are so cute that they simply must be anthropomorphized, at least a little. The tiny shorebirds (often called peeps) that race along the water’s edge, endlessly scrambling to avoid huge waves as they forage for small invertebrates, are oh-so-wonderfully endearing. With their long eyestalks and asymmetrical claws, Ghost Crabs are equally adorable. Such creatures bring joy to beachwalkers as they amble through the sunsets of the Atlantic coast, so long as they are willing to look for them!
